Buhari made Nigerian youth proud

==President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the `’Not Too Young To Run’ bill into Law.

The bill was passed by the National Assembly in July 2017 to alter Sections 65, 106, 131, 177 of the Constitution to reduce the age qualification for president from 40 to 30; House of Representatives membership from 30 to 25 and State House of Assembly membership from 30 to 25.

The bill however maintained the age qualification of 35 years for those wishing to contest for the positions of Senator and Governor.

====The International Committee of the Red Cross says it will partner with the Nigerian Police Force to evaluate how the legal system is handling pre-trial of detainees and deliver prompt legal services to arrested and detained persons in police formations in Nigeria.

ICRC’s Communication Officer, Mr Eleojo Akpa, said the collaboration would examine the progress of the Police Duty Solicitor Scheme launched by the Nigerian Police Force in September 2017.
